Students pose with their November Scholastic book choices!
On Thursday our class visited the Clyde museum in town. The students learned about the history of Clyde and even got to complete a scavenger hunt! Our class poses with their October Scholastic book choices!
Students learned about fire safety from the Clyde Fire Department today. They then had a chance to experience what it may be like to experience a fire in the smoke house!
Thanks to a random donor our entire class (and the ENTIRE 3rd grade) will receive one free book each month from our Scholastic order. This month students chose from The Chocolate Touch, There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat, or Stink- Hamlet and Cheese.
This donor has never met a single one of our students, but felt compelled to donate enough money that no child will have to feel left out when our Scholastic order arrives. <3 Today we made a trip to the high school for our PBIS kick off. PBIS stands for positive behavior intervention supports. We had a chance to meet Corey Basketball Jones. He had some sweet tricks and even got some of our classmates involved in the assembly. After a long summer off from school students have been working hard to build reading stamina. Stamina is doing anything for a long period of time without giving up or getting tired.
Our class is now up to reading for 12 minutes straight without giving up! |
